This major recruitment drive aims to appoint qualified graduates to the regular post of Clerk within the subordinate judicial establishments. Eligible candidates who meet the statutory guidelines can submit their profiles through the centralized online registration platform.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must strictly fulfil all foundational educational qualifications and basic age structures to register successfully:

  1. Educational Qualifications & Technical Demands
  • Core Degree: Must hold a regular Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), or an equivalent graduation degree from a government-recognized university.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must have passed their Matriculation (Class 10th standard) examination with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the compulsory elective subjects, or have completed higher secondary (+2) / graduation with Hindi.
  • Computer Literacy: Candidates must possess a verified working proficiency in handling computers, specifically relating to Word Processing (e.g., MS Word) and Spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel).
  1. Age Limits & Structural Relaxations
  • Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years Completed
  • Maximum Age Limit (General / Unreserved): 42 Years
  • Upper Age Relaxations:
    • Scheduled Castes / Backward Classes of the home state: Upper limit extended by 5 Years (Up to 47 Years)
    • Unmarried, Widow, or Divorced Women: Upper limit extended up to 47 Years
    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Upper age ceiling extended up to 52 Years
    • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Relaxation granted equal to the length of military service plus an additional 3 years.

  • General / Unreserved (Male): Rs. 1,200/-
  • General / Unreserved (Female): Rs. 875/-
  • SC / ST / BC / EWS Categories: Rs. 710/-

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The competitive recruitment layout follows a strict multi-stage qualifying framework:

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

The preliminary examination carries a total of 100 marks divided across objective and subjective sections:

  • General Knowledge: 50 Multiple Choice Questions (50 Marks).
  • English Composition: 20 Multiple Choice Questions (20 Marks) + Subjective Descriptive Section (30 Marks) covering Essay Writing, Letter Drafting, PrĂ©cis Writing, and Hindi-to-English translation.
  • Negative Marking: A standard penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect objective answer.
  • Qualifying Baseline: Candidates must secure a minimum of 33% in each subject section individually, with an aggregate score of at least 40% to clear the CBT block.

Stage 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

Candidates shortlisted from the written merit phase must pass a mandatory practical skill evaluation focusing on word processing speed and spreadsheet data handling. This stage is qualifying in nature.

How to Apply Online

  • Access the SSSC Gateway: Visit the centralized recruitment portal of the subordinate courts and click on the designated clerk registration tab.
  • Generate User Credentials: Click on the fresh registration module and enter your personal mobile number and email ID to receive your unique user ID and system password.
  • Fill the Online Application: Log in using your generated credentials and complete the profile details, including complete personal data, communication addresses, and academic qualification indices.
  • Upload Digital Certificates: Attach clean, legible scans of your graduation degree certificate, matriculation marksheet (confirming the language requirement), recent passport-size photograph, and digital signature.
  • Process Fee Payment: Execute your application registration fee payment using the integrated online payment gateway module (Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card) and finalize your submission to print the system acknowledgment form.
