- Citizenship & Domicile: Must be an Indian citizen and possess a valid permanent domicile status within the home state, backed by an active regional EPIC (Voter) card.
- Maximum Upper Age Limit: 50 Years (Age boundaries are strictly calculated based on the statutory department cut-off timeline).
- Allowances & Remuneration
- Honorarium Scale: Selected volunteers will receive daily honorarias paid systematically under the ‘Highly Skilled Category’ at rates prescribed by the Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development.
- Additional Perks: Active service personnel are entitled to a specialized risk allowance as structured by the State Government for remote border assignments.
- Service Condition: The deployment is purely voluntary and temporary; no volunteer can claim permanent regularization or departmental absorption.
Selection Process
The competitive screening layout uses a clear multi-stage filter to evaluate active volunteers:
- Stage 1 (Scrutiny): Initial vetting of physical registration packets to confirm service tracking files and training papers.
- Stage 2 (Personal Interview): Eligible candidates will be called to appear for a personal interview evaluation. The practical assessment will take place across designated regional centers (Shillong and Tura zones).
- Service Location: Successful candidates will be deployed to serve across remote border outposts bordering Bangladesh.
